The field of night vision and thermal imaging is expanding rapidly. As a leading manufacturer of advanced award-winning products for these markets, Electrophysics seeks to better respond to increasing customer inquiries. We currently seek an outstanding technical sales professional to join our team and contribute to the tremendous growth opportunities available. This person will manage the company’s sales activities in the Washington DC area (The beltway), working with leading government, military and industry engineers, scientists and program managers as well as sales representatives and OEMs to help find solutions to customer problems with our products.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Achieve annual sales objectives through identification of new customers and the diligent support of existing customers.
• Become an infrared imaging expert and acquire in-depth product knowledge and understanding of applications.
• Visit customer facilities and conduct product demonstrations; analyze customer requirements, recommend solutions incorporating company products.
• Create strategic territory objectives to realize sales goals and a plan to achieve those objectives.
• Manage product representatives through regular visits and training and provide monthly reports on demo activity and sales projections.
• Report on territory activity with demo logs, sales forecasts and other communication.
• Assure customers are serviced promptly with responses to their questions.
• Contribute to team effort by participating in trade shows, team sales calls, proposal development, pricing presentations, consultative selling techniques, and order closing strategies.
• Travel within the territory as required

REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Physics or other related discipline.
• Excellent knowledge of digital and video imaging. Prior infrared imaging and night vision experience will be a positive consideration.
• Minimum 3 years direct sales experience.
• Demonstrated ability to establish close long-term relationships with customers.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
• Good negotiation, project management, organizational, prioritization and planning skills.
• Able to travel extensively in the territory.
• Proven ability to work independently.
• Must have a clean driving record.

The General Accounting Manager will manage the accounting and budgeting activities at Electrophysics, including accounts payable, receivable, credit, collections, cash management, budgets and direction to the company tax accountant. This person is responsible for assuring the accuracy and timeliness of data, as well as proper internal controls for those areas of responsibility.

This person shall call upon significant previous accounting experience to perform the following responsibilities:

• Manage all company accounting activities including responsibility for general & subsidiary ledgers, analysis of accounts, reconciliations and period closing activities to include preparation of reports and analysis.

• Manage and facilitate Accounts Payable area to include maximizing working capital.

• Manage and facilitate Accounts Receivable area to include maximizing working capital.

• Investigate actual financial results compared with budgeted plan and prior periods, highlighting trends and explaining variances.

• Responsible for the implementation of adequate internal control procedures over all financial aspects of company operations.

• Assure that all information required by tax accountants is prepared timely.

• Assist with and/or support coordination of tax compliance for sales/use, federal, state and income taxes as required.

• Direct involvement and preparation of forecasts, budgets and Planning within adminstrative and operational areas.
