    Overview
    Electrophysics offers night vision for the popular Canon XL Series digital camcorders featuring an optically stabilized 20X zoom lens. Our 9300-XL Astroscope is a highly versatile evidence capture system designed to enable long range surveillance twenty four hours a day. The AstroScope incorporates state-of-the-art Gen III image intensifier that provides superior low-light sensitivity. Need more performance? Specify a Gen III Pinnacle intensifier for the highest performance with reduced halos and increased contrast. Using the 20x zoom lens and 2x digital magnification will yield an easily identifiable image at 300 yards – day or night. We can offer an entire system supplied in a Pelican case for security and safety.

    For missions where range is critical the Canon XL is designed to accept the complete line of EOS lenses using the XL-EOS adapter. The effect is to increase the focal length of any lens by 7.2x. Using the 100-400mm lens on the XL gives an effective focal length of 720-2880mm (35 mm equivalent) allowing this setup to produce an identifiable image greater than ˝ mile away.

    Border Patrol
